About Granny Kate

Granny Kate started making soap and candles in 1999, and offers a nice selection of homemade soap. Granny Kate makes it all.
She makes most of her handmade soap completely from scratch, combining raw ingredients like tropical oils, goat milk, herbs and exotic vegetable butters in our own original recipes. We also use detergent free glycerin soap for our specialty soaps. Each batch is handmade and hand poured, with each resulting in logs, then bars and packaged by hand. The small differences from batch to batch and bar to bar add to the handmade charm of her craft. Granny Kate even creates the labels, boxes and packaging for her products.
Granny Kate is an artist and the heart of her business. After raising her 3 children and working for other people in unfulfilling jobs, Granny Kate decided to try her hand making natural soaps and other body products that were chemical free in 1999. "My daughter was suffering from adult acne and needed soaps that were beneficial and natural in keeping her skin beautiful. Lavender Oatmeal was my first soap and my daughter hasn’t stopped using it to this day."
Granny Kate’s husband and children are big supporters of her products and use her soaps not only for their bodies, but on their children as well.
Granny Kate loves making handmade products and broadened her horizons several years ago by making paraffin free candles made from natural sources such as Soy wax, Beeswax, and Palm wax . She also creates statuary, jewelry, and plaques out of plaster, clay and resin.
Granny Kate and her family are originally from Southern California, but moved to Wisconsin in 1992 where she, her husband one daughter and three grandchildren still reside today.
