If your child, or you, loves mermaids and under sea treasures, then this hair cage/clip is a perfect gift! The sea shells are in a great place for children's hair, but will be placed on the bottom or top of the tail for thicker hair.  The fork that holds the fish tail in place does bend, but can break if bent to far. It is very thin, but so far, sturdy. The one shown was made for my granddaughter for her 5th birthday, and she loved it.
